I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, and got my formal musical training in San Jose, California first from piano lessons I began at age six, and then through performing groups, and choral singing in my high school jazz vocal ensemble and honor choirs. I became obsessed with jazz while attending and studying jazz voice at De Anza C
I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, and got my formal musical training in San Jose, California first from piano lessons I began at age six, and then through performing groups, and choral singing in my high school jazz vocal ensemble and honor choirs. I became obsessed with jazz while attending and studying jazz voice at De Anza College in Cupertino, under the direction of Roger Letson. It wasn't until I was in my late 20s that I realized music would become a viable career.
